The Dock Looks Great !

The new dock, though a somewhat smaller space, is an elevated view of semi-tropical Spruce Creek. The boat launch area is sided with a sturdy dock surface to tie your craft to and even has a handy step down.

The launch incline can get awfully shallow, but it has been improved by creating a wall on the right supported with poles. The channel that leads out does need some more removal of palmetto scraps, but all in all, it's a pleasing job done.

A New Dock

Work has begun on our new dock ! Using a floating platform, the structure in front of the conservation area has already been removed and useable lumber has been saved for the new project. Construction has begun next to the ramp where the former "dance floor" used to be. All permits have been acquired, so the project will hopefully be finished smoothly.

Board Election

A Board of Directors election was held at the annual meeting on 1/19/06. A quorum of thirty members plus proxies selected a seven-person board this year. Thank you to the 2006 Board :

Four returning members will continue with our community's work now aided by the three new members. The next meeting will be on Feb. 6 in the offices of Nelson & Selwitz at 6 p.m.
